Shiloh’s Wishes: Fighting for a Life Worth Living

The Re-Launching of Shiloh‘s GoFundMe:

 First and foremost, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. To every single person who has donated, fundraised, offered their time, skills, or expertise, you have given our family moments of joy and hope during a time that has felt impossibly hard. 

 Every single one of you who turned up looking absolutely beautiful and dapper in your prom attire made Shiloh feel deeply loved, seen, and celebrated. You helped give her a night she will never forget. 

Thank you for doing your best to give Shiloh the night of her life.  

But I’m writing to you now with a heavy heart because we are facing a terrifying truth. Shiloh is under palliative care. Her lungs are being slowly destroyed by a rare and unidentified condition. Mysterious particles or spores are growing in her lungs. They plug the airways, trap secretions behind them, and cause her to essentially drown from the inside. 

Her medical team has no answers. No one knows what these particles are or how to treat them. The only relief Shiloh gets, relief that lasts just 2 to 5 weeks, comes from repeated bronchoscopies, invasive procedures that suction out these particles from her lungs. She has had around 26 of these so far. This is not a viable or humane way to sustain a life. No child should have to go through this much just to breathe. 

 There is no cure and no treatment plan. We’ve been told we may have less than two years before Shiloh’s lungs deteriorate beyond the point of survival.  

That prom night was more than a celebration. It was a moment of light in the darkness, But One magical night isn’t enough – help us fight for more time, more memories, and a life worth living. 

Why We’re Fundraising: Two Wishes. One Mission. 

 This GoFundMe has two urgent purposes, and we want to be completely open with all of you who continue to walk this journey with us.  

Wish One: To keep Shiloh alive. Our first and most important wish is the one no parent should ever have to write to save her daughter’s life. We are using this platform to push Shiloh’s story out into the world, in the hope that a doctor, a researcher, a specialist anyone might recognise this pattern in her lungs and offer a treatment plan that hasn’t yet been considered. We need your help to share her story, to fund further consultations, and to access any medical advice or options out there, even internationally. Time is not on our side. But giving up is not an option.  

Wish Two: To help her complete her dream list. Shiloh also has a list of things she dreams of doing while she still can. We are now in a race against time because flying will no longer be an option very soon due to her deteriorating condition. That means every day counts. We want her to feel joy. To make memories. To have beautiful moments she can hold onto, and that we can carry in our hearts forever. Here’s her list:

 2. Visit Turkey  

 3. Visit Spain  

 4. Get her tongue pierced (help me ) 

 5. Try jet skiing ‍♀️ 

 6. Get her second and third ear piercings 

 7. Own something designer 

 8.  Complete a full Pandora charm bracelet 

 9. Meet a couple TikTok-famous people + hit 10K followers 

 10. Visit Dubai  

Shiloh is so delighted to have already crossed off some of her wishes, and she is overwhelmed by the love and generosity of those helping her tick off the rest. But beyond the joy, this fundraiser is about urgency, survival, and hope through action. We cannot do this without you. Shiloh is incredibly strong, but she should not have to suffer like this. 

After prom, she was in so much pain she wanted to go back to the hospital but she stayed because she didn’t want to disappoint anyone. That is who she is. Quietly brave. Always thinking of others. If she can do that for us, we can fight for her.
