Sherene Aun Motorcycle Accident

Sherene Aun, the 41-year-old daughter of TAPinto Roxbury owner Fred J. Aun, was critically injured on Aug. 8 while riding her motorcycle in her hometown of Missoula, MT.

She is a U.S. Navy veteran, a social worker and - most importantly - a single mother to a 16-year-old daughter in high school.

Sherene was riding home from work on her motorcycle, wearing full protective gear, when she was struck by a passenger car at an intersection. She sustained multiple bone fractures (both arms and both legs), a fractured pelvis, a fractured skull, broken ribs, damaged lungs and many more serious injuries. She was rushed to a local hospital and later flown to a trauma center in another state. She is being treated by several teams of specialists.

Sherene, a New Jersey native, served as a 3rd Class Petty Officer on the Harry S Truman aircraft carrier. She later earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree while raising her daughter by herself.

She recently purchased her first home, in Missoula, where she works as a social worker helping the homeless and those in mental health centers, among others.

Sherene has been living in Montana, thousands of miles away from her family in New Jersey.
