Friends of Shelf Hall Park

Friends of Shelf Hall Park are a volunteer group whose sole purpose is to improve and develop Shelf Hall Park for the benefit of all residents. We have identified a number of projects but need your help to fulfil our ambitions.

As well as planting more flowers and trees and general park maintenance we have ambitious plans to bring the bowling pavilion back to life. The roof is in immediate need of repair and plans include opening up the toilets for public use, total interior decoration and maybe even setting up a cafe run by volunteers.

Other projects are to improve the play area by introducing more age related activities and to update the tennis courts and maybe even open them up as a Multi Use Games  Area.

As you can imagine all of this costs a lot of money. We can apply for small grants to help raise some of the money but we really need the community to pull together to make this happen.

All donations will be warmly welcomed and all money raised will go direct to the Friends of Shelf Hall Park bank account minus administration costs from gofundme.
