Sheffield Hub Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge
In the fight against homelessness and the housing crisis, on the 29th July some of us from the Shelter Sheffield Hub (Chloe Cree, Holly Simpson, Becky Miles, Amanda Williamson, Katie Chubb, Roz Clarke, Matthew Carter, George Carter and Nick Etherington) are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. The walk will put our legs and feet to the test in a stomping 24.5 miles and 5000ft of ascent within 12 hours, we are hoping to raise £1000 to support the fantastic work that Shelter does and would love your support with this. We have thousands of people sleeping on the streets on any given night and thousands at risk of becoming homeless. Millions are living in overcrowded, dangerous, unstable or unaffordable housing. Thats the housing emergency! Shelter provide legal advice and support to people who are homeless or worried about becoming homeless. This is provided via national hubs, national emergency helpline open 365 days a year and digital advice service. Your donations will go a long way. £225 will help fund 10 face to face chats with an advisor at one of the national hubs or 12 emergency calls to the helpline. About £471 could provide legal support to three families facing homelessness. Any donation is welcome, big or small. Every little bit helps Shelter in the fight for home. Please give what you can, and share with others, every donation will help people in need.
