Shaving my head for medical aid in Palestine and Lebanon

On my 23rd birthday I'm going to shave my head to raise money for the group Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) so that YOU lovely kind people will donate to this fundraiser.

If you were to bump into me in the pub on my birthday, wouldn't you buy me a pint as a present? I'm asking all my lovely friends to donate at least the PRICE OF A PINT <3 (or a cocktail..) to help this fantastic charity continue giving emergency humanitarian aid to those who needs it most. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated, our relative-wealth in Ireland can make such a difference so donate and make a difference!!

MAP works in Gaza and the West Bank and are now deploying a 2-week emergency mission in Lebanon which will include surgeons, anesthetists, and, if possible, emergency specialists to help treat civilians and support the local health system. I will include a description of their work below.

"MAP’s team in Gaza were among the first to respond to the current emergency and remain one of the only international organisations working to provide humanitarian and medical services, including in the north.

Since Israel's military bombardment and complete closure of Gaza began, the health system has all but collapsed. In that time we've delivered some $10 million USD worth of aid to Gaza.

While our emergency response is mainly focused on Gaza, we are also supporting medical services in the occupied West Bank, amid a significant escalation of Israeli military and settler violence against Palestinians.

MAP is also deeply concerned by the severe humanitarian impact of Israel’s attacks in Lebanon on the civilian population, including Palestinian refugee camps and communities that we serve. Alongside our local partners, we are working in the 12 Palestinian refugee camps across the country and are prepared to respond to increasing medical needs."

All the funds I collect will go directly to MAP and receipts will be posted publicly. I will make the donation myself as MAP are not listed on GoFundMe.
