Shaun's family future fund

My best friend Shaun has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, having experienced little in the way of any physical ailments until relatively recently to indicate any illness. The cancer has affected his stomach, oesophagus and liver and is sadly too advanced for Shaun to have the cancer treated surgically. He has been told he is terminally ill and is preparing for a 3 month course of chemotherapy.
I don't need to explain the effect that this prognosis has had on Shaun, his family and friends, but given what an amazingly upbeat outlook on life that Shaun has, I am hoping that we can raise a serious amount of money to help him create some truly precious memories, and to prepare for the future welfare of his lovely family.
Shaun is married to the amazing Gemma, and has two terrific teenagers, Finley 15 and Zoe 13. I know that Shaun is understandably worried and concerned for his family and what the future holds for them. Nobody should be facing this with the backdrop of worrying about the future financially. I'm not sure how we will use the money yet, but one thing Shaun would like to do is extend his house to create a better home for his family.
Shaun is the most kind, selfless and generous person I know and he always puts others before himself! He is a self employed builder, and is a talented musician who plays bass in a great covers band. He has done so much for my local community, raising money for various charities in the area through organising quiz and band nights. He was also fundamental in rejuvenating the local youth club, which is now buzzing with teenagers and is a resounding success. Shaun is so humble and never takes credit for his achievments, but I think now is undoubtedly the time to recognise all he has done for us and the community and the phenomenal person that he is!
