Sharon's Medical Procedure
Beschermde donatie
So, I never thought I would do this, but at this point I have nothing to lose.
My name is Sharon and some of you know me as Lynn or BG or Bronze Goddess or Bronzy. I am unfortunately facing a possible serious health crisis and I am in need of some invasive tests. Yet, my lovely health insurance is imposing my copay and minimum out-of-pocket annual maximum on me because although these tests are checking for a possible life-threatening condition, I'm not eligible to have them as "preventive" until I turn 50. Until then, they are considered "regular medical procedures" which are subject to my copay and the OOP max. It makes me wonder what the heck I'm paying for when I pay these premiums.
The tests are scheduled for a month from now (the first round anyway), and I just don't have the money laying around. Anyone who knows me knows that we just moved a little while ago and a few other things have been happening that wiped out my savings and as hard as I have been trying to build it back up, it's simply not happening.
I have never been in the practice of asking others for help. In fact, I rarely ask ANYONE for help because I'm usually the pillar that everyone leans on or comes to when they need help. Now, the pillar needs some serious help and at this point, I'm out of options. I have to come up with the copay before they will even give me the anesthesia and there will likely be additional costs once the procedure is done, but right now, I'm just trying to get to "step one." Any little bit will help and I will be eternally grateful. Thank you.
