Let's gift self-care products to vulnerable & oppressed folx in our city.
I'm Amanda, a herbalist & product-maker from Sudbury, Ontario.
I'm gifting hand-crafted herbal self-care products to 4 local organizations. They will gift those products to people accessing their service - folx who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford these types of products.
My goal is to raise 2600$, to be able to gift 660$ of products to each organization.
The organizations are:
- YWCA Genevra House: An emergency shelter for women escaping abuse from their intimate partners & women 50 years+ who are escaping abuse from their live-in caregiver.
- Sudbury Women's Centre: A non-profit charitable organization that supports women, trans & non-binary people impacted by violence and/or difficult life circumstances.
- SWANS Sudbury: An advisory network that supports & empowers local self-identified women who are or have worked in the sex industry. Their mission is to improve overall health & wellbeing of this community via peer-to-peer outreach.
- Reseau Access Network: A non-profit that supports individuals – and serves the whole community – in a comprehensive / holistic approach to HIV/AIDS, Hep C, Harm Reduction, and related health issues.
This money will go directly to making & gifting the following products:
- Self-Care Gift-Bundles (includes a body butter, 2 massage oils, sugar scrub, tea blend, shower steamer, bath bomb)
- Bath-Bomb Gift-Bundles (includes 4 organic bath bombs)
- Single Bath-Bombs
- Beard Oil
- Massage Oil
- Calendula & Evergreen Body-Butters (great for wintery dry skin)
- Rose, Lavender, Chamomille Sugar Scrub
- Summer Tea Blend
