Share the Love for Valentines Covid Mission
We are asking all local residents to help families in our Covid community who are food insecure by donating to provide healthy meals. Amid the COVID-19 crisis, supporting our local community is essential during difficult and unprecedented times. As our residents are asked to stay home to slow the virus’ spread, many of us are grappling with how to be there for each other when we can’t be near each other. Our work as Citizens 4 Humanity continues to grow. Volunteers are sharing ideas to safely connect with our neighbors and offer assistance to those most affected by the pandemic. Citizens 4 Humanity organization offers the perfect opportunity for you to share the love with your neighbors affected by this pandemic. Neighbors in need are referred by local community groups, churches, hospitals and schools. Join us and help give memorable meals to those who need it the most!
With every $50 dollars donated, another family will receive a complete healthy meal or meals prepared by master Chef Marco Barrila and the Citizen 4 Humanity team of volunteers. The current goal is to deliver insatiable meals to 25 families a month on the East End and on Long Island.
The C4H mission can only be accomplished with your help. C4H uses 100 % of donations for food purchasing (minus gofundme fees) that directly determines how many families get fed. You can donate online through the C4H site or mail a check directly to Citizens 4 Humanity at 73 Foster Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY 11946. During Covid 19 pandemic, Chef Marco Barrila of Insatiable Eats Catering has helped Citizens 4 Humanity to feed hundreds of local households. In 2020, volunteers cooked, packaged and delivered dinners and holiday meals to over 120 local Single Mom/ Parent families and 31 Senior Citizens throughout Long Island. These essential acts of kindness have created small miracles. With the high costs of food and overwhelming demand on the food pantries, our efforts are often critical. By providing fully prepared meal trays, the extra efforts have been appreciated even more than imaginable!
Citizens 4 Humanity is a grass roots volunteer group of "people helping people". Based on the East End, assistance is only made possible through community members. We believe that "Charity Never Faileth" and it truly does takes a village.
