In Shannon's Honor ~ Help her family pay her medical bills

This is an update from Shannon:

Well, my life has always been a test of strength and resilience and those who know me, know I don't know how to give up when I believe in something. I will never quit on my babies, my family, my friends and myself.

Just a little status update on all things in the fight against the Big C.

As January was closing, the candles still smoking from birthday wishes, I got a call that I never ever wanted to get and not so secretly feared. Once again, I was numb.

Things have escalated very fast in no time - from me being completely fine to popping off like crazy. Sometimes that's just what happens. I went from celebrating my 3 year NED at the end of the year to being diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer with reoccurrence in my liver and spine. (It is called breast cancer still based on my origin of cancer diagnosis, as it isn't a new cancer, but a reoccurrence of that makes sense)

I believe in hope. I believe in strength. I believe in resilience. I believe in my team of doctors who kept me alive for the last 3 1/2 years and I will continue to put my faith in them, no matter what happens. I believe in good vibes, great energy into the universe and the power of prayer. I believe in giggling with my besties. I believe in me.

‍️ I started my new chemo treatment. And I do have a fairly large mass pushing on my spine. Dr. Cohen was able to get me in immediately with Dr. D'Ambrosio (my radiation oncologist). And completed 10 radiation treatments to help shrink the mass and help it from it from preventing more damage. Dr. D actually considers me incredibly lucky that this hasn't caused more damage already. I'll take that good.

I feel incredibly blessed to have the team of doctors that I have. There is no better team than the people I have and considering how many I know who have to doubt their providers, I am just so grateful to not be one of them.

Find the good. Find the light. Don't be sad or feel badly for me, just cheer me on. I have wayyyyy to much to be here for and I will do anything to fight back... there are no limits. You just do it. There is not another option. I know this will be okay.. it's just a hiccup.

A huge thank you to every text, call, message, thought, love and concern. I feel so incredibly happy to have truly such wonderful people in my life who would do anything they could and just literally show up. I told Dave this morning. We must be doing this life thing ok, to have such an incredible village behind us. You know who you all are and I love you so much. All of you. I couldn't even ask for more.

Love to all! Xoxo
