Shane's Legacy: Support for His Sons

On Friday, February 14, 2025, our community lost a true hero. Shane Dayley bravely fought cancer until the very end, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering strength.

Shane was a devoted father to his two sons: Alex (18, currently a freshman in college with a plan to transfer to CU Boulder for a degree in Physics) and Will (16, a high school junior with dreams of higher education). He was a loving life partner and best friend to Jami Paulson, a cherished brother to Melessa Randolph and Sean Dayley, a devoted son to Marika Dayley, and a caring uncle to Zach, Devon, Chase, Trevor, and Cody.

In addition to his deep commitment to his family, Shane’s pride in our great country was evident in his four years of service with the Marines and his continued dedication of eleven years to the Army National Guard—even after his diagnosis. His life was a testament to sacrifice, honor, and the power of resilience.
