Humans helping humans at the shala

Yoga means union, and there's no better time to unify than to help help each other in times of emergency and need. With widespread flooding and mass devastation across Jacksonville and so much of the state of Florida as a result of the recent hurricane, many of us know many or ARE among those directly affected by this most monumental storm as it tore through our lives this week. Luckily, our studio was safe and out of harms way. For some of our students however, the severity of their destruction is horrific.  

As a community we've heard some pretty horrific stories from some of our students, some painstakingly impacted by the storm and lost everything, and we at the shala San Marco would like to help.

We are collecting as a collaborative collective for various people in our community in need of various types of assistance, both to help temporarily, like with housing or transportation, or more permanent, like needing a new fridge for their families groceries or mattress to sleep on. Your donation along with with others will be disbursed with discretion, and vital in helping folks get back on their feet. We are one family and every little bit helps.
