Show some love for Mrs Carol

For those of you who know Carol and George, they are the sweetest kindest human beings you can find. Both of them are always wearing a contagious smile. Those blessed to have them in your life are lucky to know what true love and friendship is about.

For those of you who don’t know unfortunately George passed away this past Friday. I asked Carol to put together a little story of their love. Due to George’s wish and not having the funds to put together a Funeral service he will be cremated. Besides the heart ache of losing her sweet George, Carol now faces all the medical bills, cremation arrangements, utilities, mortgage, etc.

Please read below and please please be so kind in donating to a wonderful human being who needs all the love and support she could get right now. Every little bit will help and I know she is truly grateful to have you all in her life. Thank you in advance for your love and support.

What a remarkable man!  George and I met in the summer of 1979 at a new job that I had started.  I knew from the moment we met that he was my soul partner.  We became very close friends quickly and shared our lives as friends under one roof-- my folks would say this was "shacking up", but they soon welcomed him into our family.  While some of us know instantly what is right, others take a little longer.  11 years later, we were married on Sept. 15, 1990 on the most beautiful day of the year on the Durango & Silverton railroad in a "turn of the century" wedding.  And thus began our married life.
We knew that children were NOT in our future, but we had plenty of cat kids!  We shared many joyous times and our fair share of hardships.  Through it all, our love was unbroken.  In the summer of 2014 as we began our 25th year of wedded bliss ( 36 years total),  George developed gastro-esphageal cancer.  He gave it the best fight that he could, but on Friday, April 17, 2014 he passed at our home--just as he would have wanted.  He died knowing that he was loved by family and friends.  I miss him terribly but I'm comforted in knowing that he is now at peace.

What George taught me was, the key to a loving, caring relationship is being the best friend you can be to that person--unconditionally.
