Hair today gone tomorrow

Hello! I'm raising money in aid of The Little Princess Trust.

Having a child of my own now, I can empathise on a totally new level, regarding what must be THE most truly horrific situation - watching your child battle cancer, let alone the side effect of losing their gorgeous hair to treatment. The helplessness parents must feel, made me want to do something to help in my own small way.

Some children I’m sure are much more stoic about hair loss than I imagine many adults would be, I’m sure a lot of them bravely carry on regardless. But for many, especially young girls, losing their hair can be a huge confidence knock, and make them all the more self conscious about their appearance and more importantly, how they feel on the inside too. If I can bring back a little person's sparkle by donating my hair, then that’s what I want to do.

I had no idea it costs around £500 to make just one of these special wigs, and so that’s my target. To raise enough funds to help this amazing charity make a wig, not just post off my locks and be done with it.

So, I come cap in hand to you all to ask for any help I can get in meeting my target! I’ll continue raising funds after my haircut too, hoping to make that magic number as soon as I can.
