Setting up The South Ribble Wellbeing Trust

Hello! We are Paula, Craig, and Sandra and we are very proud to have done something very special to help the South Ribble residents!

We have been so saddened to hear about so many people who are suffering with their mental health. The NHS services are stretched, and many people cannot afford to go private. We can’t just leave these people; we must help. So, we have set up a new charity called The South Ribble Wellbeing Trust. Tonight, we signed the Trust Deed. Huge thank you To Sandy for witnessing the signatures! This is how it will work:

1) We have formed a charity and called it The South Ribble Wellbeing Trust.

2) The Trust will establish a group of non-clinical mental health and wellbeing practitioners and call it The South Ribble Wellbeing Group.

3) Once up and running, anyone aged 16 or over from the South Ribble area that is in a mental health crisis, can apply to the Trust for emergency help. The Trust will assess the level of need and recommend sessions with practitioners from the wellbeing group. The practitioners will receive payment for their services from the Trust.

4) The Trust will aim to fundraise and apply for grants.

5) The Trust will not replace any service that the client should be accessing, we aim to bridge the gap while you are waiting.

We need £5000 before the charity commission will give us our charity number. Can you help?
