Senior Great Dane Facing Death Needs Flight Plan

Donation protected

***HELP URGENT NEED TO AIR TRANSPORT AT-RISK SENIOR GREAT DANE***

Oscar is a senior Great Dane who is urgently needing transport funds to fly him from the Humane Society of Greater Miami to Seattle to Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue Foundation in Vancouver, Canada. Due to Oscar's age and psychological dysfunctions, he is not a candidate for ground transport.

Oscar NEEDS your help. Please SHARE. Please donate if you can.

He was surrendered by his owner. It is clear this dog is from a BYB by his body structure and appearance. He's been poorly treated most of his life. As such, this dog developed dysfunctions that can not be addressed in Miami.

Oscar was refused intake by two breed-specific rescue orgs citing his behavioral issues were too extremely pronounced. The shelter is facing the same conclusion. Oscar is losing weight and his severe dysfunctions have been elevating. This is a dog with dysfunctions considerably beyond Dr. Ian Dunbar's 'bite level 6' category.

- Fundraiser is $1400 USD ($1700 CDN).

- Series 500 flight kennel 48" is $300 USD on Amazon.
- Flight from Miami to Seattle (one stopover) is $900 - $1100 USD according to the airline rep I spoke with.
- Transport from Seattle to Vancouver, Canada. Supplies and potential vetting costs.
- Raw diet estimated at 3 - 3 1/2 lbs/day (100 lbs/month).
- This will only cover him for 2 - 3 months.
- In-house custom rehabilitation/downtraining (will be provided by James Tsai)

Oscar is alleged to have attacked his owner, volunteers of the two breed-specific rescues and attacked two shelter staff at the same time. This is a dog many, many people have posted and warned me, and is similar to extremely predatorial dogs such as 140+ lbs Nero (dragged a woman from their couch, causing wounds requiring 67 stitches) and 183 lbs Tonka (attacked 16 people, dragged a shelter worker into his kennel to kill her). I have consistently proven every dysfunctional dog can be downtrained...no treats or medications nor restrictive/painful collars nor alpha.

NEWSPAPER: North America's Only Trainer Of Extremely Dangerous/Predatorial/Skittish Dogs

He has a couple favorite humans at the shelter. If you have/had a dog with aggression/reactivity/skittishness/OCD then you understand the Soul of this (and every) dog is worth saving, stabilizing and psychologically healing.

Our fundraisers is to cover expenses for Oscar such as flight kennel ($300 for series 500 48" kennel)...flight ($900 - $1100) and the cost of his raw diet (for 2 - 3 months) while being rehabilitated and downtrained at Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue Foundation. The sooner this senior dog can leave, the sooner he can be stabilized and begin downtraining. The sooner this dog will be able to recover and heal psychologically from  a life of neglect. There are callous scars on his body from sleeping on concrete and dirt.

Due to Oscar's size and issues, he can't be transported by land. Being that he needs a 48" tall kennel ('series 500'), there is only one airline that has the route capacity to fly Oscar. There is one connecting flight in the next 10 days and that is this Monday February 10, 2020. According to the airline, there will not be another appropriate flight for two more weeks. I've previously advised them of the urgency due to this dog's higher level of intellectual functioning:

"...This will push us into 5 weeks before dear Oscar can even hope the earliest to travel. It's always best to remove a higher dysfunctional dog expeditiously as to avoid institutional trait." ~ James Tsai's email Mon, Jan 27, 2:54 AM (group email w/shelter management)

After being tagged and pm'd by dozens of people asking me to help Oscar five weeks ago...I agreed to intake him into my Rescue for long-term rehabilitation and downtraining. This is while I was trying to help save Punky's life (the judicially important dog killed by the City of Vancouver and refused clemency by Mayor Kennedy Stewart).

Why am I willing to risk being critically or mortally attacked? Because his severe dysfunctions and size are near the minimum entry level of downtraining that I consider worth intaking (I have over 1700 days, over 22,000 hours experience alone with predatorial dogs).

Mingki the Jindo from South Korea 'meat dog farm':
"Mingki was born and raised to be sadistically tortured to death, then eaten. He was cared for by Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation, extremely skittish, unpredictable and prolific biter. He was too dangerous for their most experienced fosters. They had no options. Their foundation has rescued over 20,000 dogs…some from extremely horrific and tortuous conditions…this was the one dog they couldn’t train…couldn’t figure out…couldn’t help. Of all the trainers and behaviorists in North America, they reached out to James Tsai for help."

The Soul Of A Dog podcast (training dysfunctional dogs) coming soon

There are facilities in North America that charge between $9000 to $14,000 USD for 2 weeks where dogs are shock-collared and live outside in kennels or an out-building yet have no experience with psychologenetic destructuring protocol.

As with previous giant dogs considered extremely dangerous such as Nero and Tonka...I'm donating the entire cost of customized in-house rehabilitation and downtraining estimated at $30,000.  I only offer 2 spots at any one time so Oscar will be entirely non-revenue for me.

Oscar will have free-range in my rescue and home and will be integrated with other Danes and dogs in my Rescue org.

I want to express my appreciation to their kennel supervisor, Ralph and his staff at Humane Society of Greater Miami. Ralph has demonstrated compassion and dedication throughout. I want to express my appreciation to Amy Rainoshek and her team at the largest nationwide Great Dane Rescue in North America 'Save Rocky' and my appreciation to Elaine Dixon, founder of Canada's oldest Great Dane Rescue 'New Hope For Danes'...they have saved over 5000 Danes/mixes since 1984.

I want to say Thank You to the anonymous individual that has been helping me from day one with logistics and fundraising. Being a one-person rescue org...it's very, very difficult to this alone so their help has been instrumental and invaluable in keeping Oscar safe.

Thank you for reading. Please help Oscar by sharing and if you can, please donate. You will be part of Oscar's journey from day one <3

Watch Oscar stabilize...every dysfunctional dog can be downtrained.

Thank you,
