Sending DPS Students to Prom

My senior prom was tough, I paid for 100% of it myself working outside as a parking lot attendant at The FOX and JLA. I hated all senior activities Trips, pinning, brunches- these events created a ton of stress for me. I was so exhausted when the events arrived I couldn't enjoy them and my class attendance suffered as a result. So, in 2022 our company, Hired Muscle Logistics, Labor and Moving was able to send 10 young men from Detroit Public Schools (specifically Henry Ford High School) to prom with brand new suits! This spring 2023 we're going to double that donation from $500.00 to $1k. My goal is to add $500.00 every year. Naturally more business also means more hiring in my community. My name is Damon Cannon and I posted this on my social media page this weekend. Because of it, I received so much support and love! So many people wanted to know how they could help and where they could donate, so I decided to create this GoFundMe Page.

Last year, we worked with Henry Ford High School through Pathways to Potential (Michigan Department of Health and Human Services) and their Success Coach. We have reached out again to Pathways to connect with Henry Ford as well as my alma mater and my partner's alma mater (Crockett Tech- now East English Village Prep and Cass Technical respectively) and plan to reach as many as we can this year!!
