Kason Webster, 16, has a dream of becoming a professional bowler and earning a college bowling scholarship. He now has the opportunity to compete in a major week-long youth bowling tournament where talented young bowlers from around the country showcase their skills. With your help, he can make this opportunity a reality.
Hello friends, family, and fellow bowling supporters,
I’m reaching out as a proud grandfather to ask for your support for my grandson, Kason Webster.
Kason is 16 years old (turning 17 at the time of the tournament) and has developed a true passion for bowling. What started as a fun activity has grown into something he works very hard at. He practices regularly and is committed to improving his game, with the goal of one day earning a college bowling scholarship and possibly pursuing a future in professional bowling.
Kason currently averages 220 on house shot lane pattern and 205 on sport shot patterns.
He recently competed in a youth tournament in Rock Hill NC where 50+ boys and girls in his age group competed. He is in 2'nd place posting scores of 221, 236, 215, 181, 237, and 189. He will be going to the finals for this tournament this coming weekend (3/21).
A couple of months ago Kason competed in a qualifying tournament and has been invited to compete in the prestigious Junior Gold Championship tournament in Minneapolis. This 10 day youth bowling tournament is where talented young bowlers from across the country come together to compete and gain exposure. This is a big step forward in his bowling journey.
Because Kason is a minor, a guardian must travel with him for the duration of the tournament. Below is a transparent breakdown of the estimated costs:
• Tournament Entry Fee — $400
• Hotel (Week Stay) — $1,500
• Travel Expenses — $1850
• Meals During Tournament — $750
• Guardian Travel & Expenses — $500
Total Estimated Cost: $5,000
Any contribution — no matter the size — will go directly toward helping Kason attend this tournament and continue pursuing the sport he loves.
