Send a van of aid to Ukraine

Hi, we are Wakefield for Ukraine.

 

Since the start of the Ukraine war, we have been collecting essential supplies to help with the refugee crisis.

Our first van directly from Wakefield to the aid depot in Lezajsk, Poland, was a great success and we delivered nearly 2.5 tonnes of aid.

We successfully raise the money for our first van through your donations and the 2200 mile return trip took five days and cost a total of £1390.

However, with 10 million people now displaced by the war, there are still millions of people who need our help.

Therefore, we will be sending a second van from Wakefield, packed with your donations, to the Medyka displaced persons centre, a few hundred yard from the Ukrainian border. This second shipment will leave Wakefield on 1st May 2022. 

 

However, we need your help to once again pay for ferry and fuel costs.  As with the first trip, the drivers will pay all their personal costs themselves.

 

All receipts will be published on our social media for added peace of mind.
