UPDATE: We are working on fundraising for a new billboard, updated yard signs and posters.
Currently, all fundraising efforts will go towards the following:
1. Raising the reward for information from $8000 to at least $10,000, but a goal of $15,000. UPDATE: The reward is currently at $10,000
2. Potentially extending or contracting another billboard once the current billboard's contract is up. UPDATE: Our billboard contract ended in April. We are working on contracting a new one.
3. Continuing to purchase posters, yard signs, and other materials to raise awareness and keep Queise's name in the public's eye.
Any additional or unused funds will go towards a scholarship in Queise's memory.

Marqueise "Queise" Coleman was a 19 year old young man from Saint Paul's North Carolina. He graduated from Saint Paul's High School and was headed was just a few days from moving back into the dorms at Fayetteville State University for his sophomore year to continue his education and play football. An incredible athlete, who was fierce on and off the field, and was looking forward to a successful career in sports.

On July 29th, 2021 around 2:40am, Queise was murdered in Saint Paul's. His death shocked his community and left everyone who knew him devastated. As the news broke, and articles about his passing started hitting the internet, so did tributes and posts about how loved he was. If you look up his name, you can see how deeply loved he was by family, friends, team mates, coaches, and the younger athletes he mentored. Even those who only knew him from afar, or knew him through watching him play, mourned the incredible talent that was lost.

The Robeson County Sheriffs Department is investigating his death as a homicide. Queise's case IS solvable. Someone just needs to come forward with the information. There were witnesses, there are people who know the truth about who was involved. These people are choosing not to speak while his murderer(s) walk free.
They stole more than just his life. They stole away the joy that he brought to his friends and family. They stole his college graduation. His future career. A future wedding, his future children. They stole the mentorship he provided younger athletes, they stole a role model who made himself a good example for students and younger athletes that looked up to him. They took a deeply loved son, grandson, brother, and uncle. A friend who everyone turned to. They took so much from his family, friends and community when they took his life. The scar his violent death left within his community will take a long time to heal.

His high school teams and even rival teams continue to honor him at each game. His family and friends continue to publicly demand justice everyday. A facebook page, Justice for Queise , tracks the efforts of his family and friends to obtain justice, fundraise, and catalogs news articles and posts about him.

Marqueise Coleman was undeserving of what happened to him. His family continues to suffer while his murderer walks free. We will continue to bring awareness to his case, push for those with information to come forward, and keep his legacy alive.

What is done in the dark, will come to light.
