Freedom Should be Free - Bail Fund for Jason

Donation protected
22-year-old Jason Shamblin was recently found not guilty in a Hardin County case in which he faced a life sentence after being wrongfully accused and held in custody for over 428 days. Most of this time was spent in solitary confinement. While in solitary confinement, he was  accused of an additional charge with a $5,000 cash bond. After being found not guilty in the original case, the judge refused to reduce the $5,000 bond holding him in jail in the separate case. His family is unable to post the bond. Jason is presumed innocent and should not be held in jail any longer.

Please consider helping his family raise the funds to post this bond and get Jason home. Restore the presumption of innocence, reunite his family, and challenge a system that criminalizes poverty. We're on a mission to create a more just, equitable, and humane pretrial system. Cash bond exists as a ransom for poor folks. The criminal legal system has failed Jason. So he is reaching out to his community for help.
