Sean’s Final Wish.

Spende geschützt
Our family are hoping to make one of my brother's final wishes as meaningful and as widely spread as possible.
My darling ‘big bro’ Sean, our sister Bea and I did not have a good childhood.
But we made it through, with trauma and scars. We were too stubborn just to ‘make do’. We all decided not to let our upbringing define us. We went to universities, got degrees and worked damn hard to stick two fingers up to our supposed statistical life path.
Our older sister became a Lawyer.
I became a Teacher.
Sean became a Computing analyst!
So proud of our accomplishments!!
Our brother Sean travelled the world, from our homeland of Scotland to England, Wales, Eire; much of Europe. Also the US, New Zealand, , Fiji and above all , his second homeland,Australia where he found his dad, Justin.
He made so many friends along the way, You all know who you are, and that you meant a great deal to Sean.
Sean was never shy of a pool table or a wee cheeky turn (or ten!) on the ‘Puggies’, Fruit machines(for those not native to Scotland or ‘Pokies’ in Australia).
He loved cards, good food and even better company. Sean was also very kind and generous in every way.
He also had FUN! Sharing so many happy memories with us all.

Unfortunately, in his thirties he was diagnosed with Severe left sided Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Sean was deemed ‘Palliative Care’ back then. Sean’s life was turned upside down. But in true Sean fashion, he refused to simply mope around feeling sorry for himself.
Taking care of his condition and correct medication. Back to Australia he went almost every December to be with Dad for the Famous fireworks in Sydney Harbour, bringing each New Year in with Style.
He was predicted to live no more than four years. He didn’t agree with that!
He survived more than 11 years from that first horrific and soul destroying diagnoses.
Unfortunately, the Heart failure did catch up with him. His heart sadly stopped beating on the 13th August 2024. He was 49.
His passing is immeasurable. As a family we are devastated. However, in true Sean style he wanted to help others upon his passing.

The main thing he asked as a final request/wish was when the end finally came, instead of people sending flowers and condolences, could all who knew and loved Sean; if you can would you maybe contribute instead to this go fund page in his honour/memory.  He wanted to send a donation in his memory to the
World Central Kitchen.
He said that all he wanted in terms of a funeral was a small peaceful gathering of those he cares about.
The idea for donating to World Central Kitchen came from many conversations with Family and friends in Australia, (including Dad, Justin) and them not being able to attend the service as he lived in the UK. So for those that cannot attend, those who wanted to send cards and/or flowers, or simply those who wish to donate to something he was passionate about;  could you please consider donating. He was such a bright light in so many people's lives.
Let’s  come together now and help him do some good, tragically he is not here anymore to do it himself.

Sean on our minds, he will always remain in our hearts. A star to shine forever.
