Seachange is an inspiring approach to community support. Working on the basis that good health and happiness are closely linked. Our programme of events are all designed to increase social cohesiveness, reduce isolation and loneliness whilst improving the health and happiness of our community.

We are a charity that is funded through donations and grants from the public and charitable sectors. Like everyone else, the cost of utilities is having a massive impact on our financial situation.

Our electric bill has more than doubled to £40,000 a year. We recently set up a direct debit payment plan to pay our bill electric in instalments. Our provider British Gas took £29,000 in one whole amount. This has left our cash flow very tight meaning we might have to cease some of our activities. They have refused to return the money taken incorrectly.

While we will get the money back eventually, we still need to pay an electric bill twice the amount we budgeted for. We hope that by raising awareness of our situation, the wonderful community that we serve may be able to help us. If we can raise the money to pay the bill we can channel our funds elsewhere and sustain the good work that we do, and maybe even expand our reach to help even more people.
