Scrub Sarcoma Foundation: for young adults with sarcoma

Donation protected
The Scrub Sarcoma Foundation is being set up in memory of Dylan Shelton (aka Sir Scrub) who died in April 2024 after living with a rare form of synovial sarcoma for three years. Through reading, talking to people and researching online Dylan developed his own support structures to enable him to stay healthy through invasive surgery and treatments, finding complementary therapies and ways of living that boosted his wellbeing and immune system and helped him stay positive and enjoy life. He lived double the time predicted.

This fund will provide support for other young people in their 20s living with sarcoma who take inspiration from Dylan's story (which will be shared on the foundation website) and enable them to to follow their own path to staying healthy and well, providing funding for therapies and support that they would otherwise not be able to afford.

The foundation will also work to raise awareness of sarcoma, to promote early diagnosis that could save lives and give support to parents in the difficult task of parenting a young, moving towards independent, adult with a cancer diagnosis.

This GoFundMe provides a platform to start fundraising whilst the foundation is properly set up as a charity in the first half of 2025. As part of the foundation a website dedicated to Dylan's artwork will sell limited edition T-shirts, prints and other products to raise money and spread the joy he brings.

News of all this will follow.

with all our love and thanks
