Joshua’s Miracle
Spende geschützt
My name is Kerry, I am Joshua’s dad. On Sunday afternoon, June 11th, 2023, Joshua was playing a game in his living room, as a healthy young man with a family and a small struggling business due to the covid pandemic. His partner was upstairs and heard an odd sound. She noticed their pit bull run downstairs and as she cleared the stairway, she saw Josh laying face down on the floor. With help of their dog she was able to roll Josh over and see that he was not conscious. She screamed for their daughter to come help and she did not hear her. After the third attempt their dog ran up the stairs and led their daughter to them. Two weeks previous as god would have it, the 15 year old daughter had just completed an intense first aide class involving COR training. She immediately sprang into action starting chest compressions and taking charge. She saved my son’s life, no question! The ambulance just happened to be near by and within a few minutes had arrived. When they did, his heart had stopped. They shocked, no conversion, gave him a shot of epinephrine, then shocked again, and he converted. He was in a coma when he arrived at the hospital. I beat the ambulance there and watched them unload my son. He spent the next three days in a coma. We waited, we prayed and we enlisted the prayers of many, many friends and family. On the 14th the vent tube was removed, and he breathed his first unassisted breaths. On the 17th we still have yet to find the answer as to why this happened. He is in shape, he doesn’t drink, or do drugs. The mounting medical and the fact that he cannot work at his small business is the reason for this page. Supporting a family without income and the medical bills for the months ahead is a daunting reality!
