Schmit's Fire Relief Fund

The Thomas Fire in Ventura County has devistated the communty. Unfortunately my generous parents were hit hard, and have lost everything, their home in Upper Ojai, all their possessions and their pets.  My parents have lived in Upper Ojai for over 36 years. They are lucky and grateful that they are alive and that they are surrounded by a community full of friends. While they are insured, they are now tasked with rebuilding their lives from scratch. This includes paying their morgage and finding a new home to temporarily rent (two payments) while they decide what their next steps are. They will need to replace all their furniture, clothes and kitchen supplies. This is a daunting task and any help in the interim while waiting for the insurance is unbelievably appreciated. I will set up the withdrawl of the funds to go directly into my parents checking account so they can use the generous donations on their daily needs, such as new clothes, furniture, and other necessities.
