Scarves for Calais

Any and all funds donated will go towards helping the refugees currently situated in the 'Calais Jungle' refugee camp.
I am travelling over to the camps in January to work with the organisation HelpRefugees (https://helprefugees.org/calais/ - I have linked a short video that showcases a little of what the organisation is currently doing in Calais: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYI2gmjcGDI).
This organisation works on the ground everyday helping the refugees through sorting and distributing donations of clothes and goods, their kitchen feeds hundreds three meals a day and their specific work with the women and children supports those most vulnerable in the camps. Each month they release a list of priority items most needed in the camps to ensure the maxium effiency of donations. The funds donated here will buy as many relevant items for the refugees that I will take over with me.
Part two of this project is the scaves. Because I am going over in Janruary when it averages a 7 degree maxium with the refugees living with nothing more then donated tents to shelter them from the elements - I will be knitting scarves to take over with me. All the wool is high quality, soft and in beautiful colours. If you have a specific interest to this part of the project you can donate to specfically the purchasing of future wool (just specify in your donation) OR if you can and would like to knit and donate your own scarf that would be beyond appreciated! If so, contact me :)
