Say No To Twin Bays Fish Farming
Fish farming is linked to rapidly declining local fish populations due to disease transfer and inter breading between wild and farmed fish. It also distributes large volumes of chemicals and concentrated fish excrement into the local water waterways where people fish, recreation, swim and make their livings. Residents living in on the area around these farms have voiced large concerns over noise, smell, and life in their waters being diminished. The money raised will be used to distribute communications to the public regarding fish farming proposals for up to 20 fish farms in the Twin Bays of Mahone Bay and St. Margaret’s Bay. The goal to keep fish farming from polluting our waters and dismantling our Bays eco system.
