Hi every one,
My name is Ravindra Kumara (Ravi). I work as a national tour guide in Sri Lanka and the past five years I have lead several Sawadee Reizen tours around the island. I cherish especially great memories of the family tours in the months of July and August.
Due to this pandemic outbreak of Covid-19, Sri Lanka has closed the borders for international tourists since March of this year. Therefore I am already out of work and income for quite a long time...Unfortunately, nowadays, it has become very difficult to supply the daily food staple for my family of three (wife and son of 16 years old).
The economical downfall because of the virus is immense. My hope of even a job opportunity in another field of work, has also totally vanished. There is so much unemployment in Sri Lanka.
I am so much looking forward to better times...I hardly can't wait to pick up Sawadee groups again from the airport. And even I have to swallow a mouthful of 'dropjes', I will go for it ;)!
