Prince Sebastian

We would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to you and your organization. After many months of planning and preparation, we are launched Royalty Dog Rescue, LLC in April 2013. We are an all volunteer rescue groups, located in beautiful Tuscarawas County, Ohio. We are a small group formed to help save dogs in need. We do not have a facility - our pets for adoption are fostered, providing them with a sense of a home life while they wait for their forever home.

While we do our best to provide for our Royal's, there are times, when we need your help. Let us introduce you to Prince Sebastian, Sebastian is a now 2 year old Saint Bernard, who arrived in the Kingdom last June. Sebastian weighed less than 100 pounds, was covered in open sores, dirty and had eye infections. He was badly medically neglected and emotionally, but at 1 1/2 years old, he was such a sweetheart, and all fall in love. Sebastian has since gained weight, is a whopping 160 lbs now, has been neutered, brought up to date on his shots, had eye surgery to correct his eyes, heart-worm tested and receives monthly flea/tick and heart-worm prevention. But, we have received sad news:

We have often wondered if dear sweet Prince Sebastian, who has been in the Kingdom since June and loved by all, would ever find his furever Kingdom, we have searched throughout the land, and just have not been able to find that castle for him. Maybe because God had other plans for Prince Sebastian? On Christmas Eve, we noticed that he was bleeding from his mouth, and a mass was discovered. Our royal vet sent it off for a biopsy. Yesterday, my foster Prince Sebastian was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, (Cancer) which is a locally invasive, but does not usually metastasize, fast growing and with the worst prognosis being in the upper jaw, farther back. Unfortunately, this is where his mass is. Please keep Prince Sebastian in your prayers, he is an amazing, loving guy. We are going to try and raise money so that he can see a vet at OSU for a consultant and CAT scan so we know what our options are and how advanced his cancer is. This consult will cost us roughly $1,000. Please watch in the next few days for our fundraising drive for Prince Sebastian, he is only 2 years old, and a very caring, loving guy (unless he see's a cat or a small dog!) Everyone who had met him at events or around, falls in love with this gentle guy!
