Please sponsor a raccoon for $15 and help me save these baby raccoons!

In my efforts of helping the Community Cats of the Palm Beaches ...

A couple months ago, I set out to help with a disastrous situation with a large cat colony in Lake Worth.

A very irresponsible feeder was acutely overfeeding the cat colony. Extra food meant there was plenty of food to attract and feed the wildlife!!!

Over time, the raccoons continued to multiply and continued to show up for food, along with all their babies!

The Spin Cycle:
It spun out of control  and soon the raccoons started taking over the entire cat food supply. The cats couldn't get to the food, so the irresponsible feeder left even MORE cat food. This turned into a vicious cycle. The more raccoons that showed up, the more cat food she left...eventually attracting nearly a 100 raccoons!

In our efforts of helping to stop this disastrous mess, it also meant, we had to STOP FEEDING THE RACCOONS.  This included the darling little baby raccoons that stared at us with their darling masked faces begging for food.

Looking for Solutions:
I contacted many sources looking for a solution. The answer most often given was to quit feeding the raccoons and they will relocate to another food source.

Wishful thinking? Indeed.

Rather, they are now challenging the cats for food! The cats are getting injured and cats are not getting food because they are being chased away and swiped at by hungry raccoons!

Being told that euthanizing the raccoons was our only option, it was heartbreaking. However, it was also heartbreaking NOT feeding the raccoons knowing they were hungry, trying to chase them away from the cats food, so the cats could eat, but this turned into the raccoons harming the cats in their fight for food! Sadly, it just isn't working.

Plain and simple...the RACCOONS ARE HUNGRY! And we need a solution! So I'm reaching out to you!

We're asking for you to sponsor one (or more!) raccoons at $15 each. This will allow us to relocate them to safety instead of them being trapped for euthanasia.

Relocating The Raccoons:
In my search for other methods, aside from trapping to euthanize them, I discovered Bryan Hamilton, a licensed trapper with All Around Nuisance Wildlife Trapping.

Bryan is willing to help us relocate these darling coons to private property (only way to legally relocate the raccoons is to have permission to release on private property).

How You Can Help: Sponsor a Raccoon(s) for $15!
For each raccoon you sponsor, it will allow us (Me, Danika Dahl & my trapper buddy Lisa Gammon) to trap the raccoons so Bryan can safely relocate them. Our initial goal is to relocate 25 of the raccoons and then re-evaluate the situation.

Please sponsor one or more of these darlings so they can be safely relocated to a more appropriate environment and have their own food supply.

I'm hungry! Your sponsorship can find me a new home!
