Save the Garden at Dog Beach

Please help me rejuvenate the garden at Dog Beach!
For many years I have spent the majority of my mornings cleaning up the sand from the side walk, picking up trash on the beach, and other minor maintenence in order to keep the beach as pristine and welcoming as possible. Recently, I cleaned up the overgrown and dead plants located on the north side of the beach near the road. After, I planted succulents and flowers of all kinds to fill in the gaps and beautify the area. (I spent about $900 of my own money to do so)
Unfortunately, I was not aware that the city/coastal commission states that the area should only be planted with native plants. They wish for me to revert the landscape back to the native plants. Fortunately, they are open to my efforts to rejuvenate the area with some new types of native california species that did not exist there before.
My hope is to plant the area with flowering natives that will attract hummingbirds and butterflies. These will be complimented by signs to educate people about what plants are there and how they support the local ecosystem. I should like to have this completed prior to the Breeder's Cup in November. Right now is really the time to plant in order to have it in a prime state by that point.
I am seeking your assistance to fund this effort as these plants are premium plants. While I am happy to do the landscaping, it would be challenging for me to fund it on my own.
About me: My name is Jimmy Joe Gooding and am a community voluteer who grew up in Del Mar. I have a great love of Dog Beach. My recently passed long time companion, Gwen, also loved being the dame of Dog Beach for all 10 years of her life.
