My 6 month old filly, Sapphire, was recently diagnosed with congenital cataracts in both eyes. This condition is very rare in horses and without surgery, this sweet little girl will be fully blind within a year, leaving the only other option being putting her down.

UC Davis quoted the surgery at $3,000-$4,000 for only one eye. This does not include her hospitalization nor her pre/post care, which will significantly increase the costs, estimating around $10,000+

She is my first horse, my dream since I was little, and I want more than anything to give Sapphire a chance to grow up into a big, beautiful, talented mare and not face the heartbreaking decision of ending her life. But trying to finish school and only working part time, I am not able to afford to provide her with the medical care she needs myself. Please help me.
