Save Dragon Point
This campaing to raise money, which we started on 2/10/2014 will be used in helping to finalize a purchase agrement with the bank.
Save Dragon Point Inc. is a foundation born to rebuild the icon of our community! "Annie " the river dragon was created by legendary artist, Lewis Van Dercar. Made in the backyard of the Christal family in 1971. Annie stood for 31 years, and has collapsed after years of hurricanes and various other reasons.
We the community would like to buy the land and rebuild the dragon. These funds are to contribute to this cause!
In case we are unsuccessful in our goal of purchasing the dragon point property, all money raised would be used to promote reading and the arts in preschool and elementary. We would also look for ways to bring Annie and her hatchlings back to the area for future generations to enjoy. We would continue to host the annual Dragon Festival a Renaissance Fair, as well as other events that encourages the creative imagination of our kids and helps us return Annie and her hatchlings.
