Hello patrons and friends,

It's James here. I am asking for your help because I find myself in very serious straights. I'm in the unenviable position of needing to raise $120,000 by February 2017 to keep the bar we all love so much, The Black Horse.

The Black Horse is one of San Francisco's unique quirky places. It's the smallest pub west of the Mississippi (and maybe the other side too...) but boasts the biggest heart. Here gentlemen still observe the rules of civility. It is a place where one finds community the first time he or she arrives. There is no talking on cell phones. Only to each other. In a city that is glued to their technology, it is a true gem.
