Help Gadiel Save Use of His Legs

Gadiel is a wonderful student of mine who is suffering from Cerebral Palsy.  CP is a permanent condition that affects Gadiel's body movement.  Specifically, Gadiel's CP limits the use of his legs and lower body.  This causes Gadiel to  be in a wheelchair for most of his day.  Being wheelchair bound can cause Gadiel's muscles to atrophy and ultimately could lead to his losing the limited use of his legs that he has.  To work at preventing this from happening, Gadiel has a Gait Trainer supplied by the school district to use during his Adaptive PE class.  A Gait Trainer is a sophisticated walker that supports Gadiel's body while allowing him to exercise his legs (see picture below).
 

However, Gadiel's physical therapist wants him to exercise his legs more, specifically at home when he has free time.  The Gait Trainer is too large to fit on the special bus that takes Gadiel to and from school, though, and Gadiel's family is very poor and cannot afford such a specialized piece of medical equipment.  Unfortunately, the state of California, which would normally help out in this situation, refuses to do so because of Gadiel's immigration status.  As Gadiel's teacher, I am asking you to help us raise the necessary funds to purchase a Gait Trainer for Gadiel to use at home (see attached quote from the company below).  This would be a gift that would help Gadiel for the rest of his life as he struggles to live with Cerebral Palsy and save the use of his legs.
