Save Haiti's Cultural Center AMM
Donation protected
Centre Culturel Anne-Marie Morisset was created in 2011 after the devastating 2010 earthquake. It was our answer to the tragedy and to the more constant inequalities in Haiti society.
CCAMM is a space open to all. The youth, regardless of their social and economic background, can come and share their experiences. CCAMM offers workshops (writing, music, crafts, drum, arts, etc), conferences on diverse subjects, movie nights, themed activities and storybook hours for children, as well as a library of over 4,000 books where children can borrow books and students are free to consult documents.
Not to be forgotten is our annual Christmas celebration. For each of the past 6 years, we have provided a great end-of-year party, complete with entertainment, arts and craft workshops, snacks, refreshments, gifts and goodie bags for impoverished children in the area.
Located in a neighborhood (Delmas 41) where there are next to no libraries and/or cultural centers, CCAMM is vital to its community -of which the vast majority is struggling economically.
CCAMM is a true non-profit and mostly relies on volunteers, and the donations of close family, friends and community members to keep running. Unfortunately funds are running dry and we will be forced to close our doors within a yaer h if we cannot raise our operating cost of $17,035.87.
We are reaching out for your help. Together, let us continue to make a difference in a community that so needs it.
