Buy a round! Help save our College Arms

Dear Friends of College Arms Public House, When we moved into Lower Quinton a few years ago a big part of the village appeal was the beautiful, historic pub by the Green.  Centuries old and with a lovely, atmospheric welcome it was a real draw and we loved it. We learnt it had previously experienced mixed fortunes but under the stewardship of new publicans - local villagers Jim and Tanya Tatlow - we have seen 'the College' flourish again and become the caring heart of the community that all great pubs are.   But that is now at risk, and the College is on its knees again. 2020, as we all know, has been a devastating year for the hospitality industry and more pubs are going under than ever before. Our College was already struggling to stay afloat this year through lockdown, and the despicable break-in on 5th November just weakened it further still. Times sadly are tough for everyone right now, but if we want to avoid losing our wonderful pub forever we need to pull together and help in any way we can.  So please - whether you were a regular, or just an occasional visitor, or even someone who couldn't visit but loved having a historic pub on their doorstep (think of your house prices people!) then please help Jim and Tanya keep it going in 2021. A thriving local pub benefits us all. Please donate as much or as little as you can - how about the cost of your weekly pint or round? - and let's see if we can all hang onto our wonderful College.
