Save the Carnegie Center of Corbin

You can make a difference by donating today to Carnegie Center of Corbin. The original Carnegie Library in Corbin, Kentucky was built in 1916 as the first library in this small town in eastern Kentucky. In addition to its original purpose, the building has served as a radio station and a food pantry, and has understandably deteriorated in the last century. It is now owned by the non-profit Carnegie Center of Corbin and staffed completely by volunteers. The group is striving to restore the building to be used as a much-needed community center, meeting place and repository of historical records. Successful progress has been made over the last several years, including roof, window and brick restoration. We are attempting to raise funds for continued exterior efforts, including tuck pointing, mortar replacement, and column restoration. Your tax-free contribution will be completely used for restoration and will benefit the community in this economically depressed Appalachian city. Thank you.
