Save Roscoe: A Rottweiler's Fight for Survival

Hello, my name is Marcus Jones, I have a beautiful 1 year old rottweiller named Roscoe who has unfortunatly fallen ill within the past 24 hours. I didnt want to create this because I'm normally not the type of person to ask for assistance but I am out of options. Here is what led up to this request.
Roscoe fell ill on the evening of 8/20/24, he was very lethargic, not eating and not acting like himself at all, in the AM of 8/21/24 he would not get out of his crate, still very lethargic, not interested in eating or drinking, we had to carry him (all 105lbs) up the stairs. We called our vet office right at 0800 when they opened, unfortunately our vet wouldn't be in the office today and unable to see him. Based on his symptoms the office advised we seek emergency treatment elsewhere. I called around, Cornell could see him but it would be at least a 4-6 hour wait, and it would be on an outpatient basis as all of their inpatient beds were full at this time. We were fortunately able to get him into Veterinary medical center of CNY immediately. Once there, Roscoe got sick to his stomach and underwent an ultrasound. Upon further examination of his stomach contents under a microscope it was suspected that Roscoe may have a perforated bowel based on the amount of bacteria seen in his stomach contents. Just for him to be seen, we initially spent $230, then once he was triaged and determined to be a "level II" emergency it was $600 more. Next they gave us the option of euthanizing or paying more money for further testing and possible surgery. Euthanization seemed completely insane to us as Roscoe was completely fine not even 24 hours before and he is again just over a year old. We then agreed to pay $1200 more for them to do more testing, including lab work and an xray. Once completed we were advised that he did have a perforated bowel and emergency surgery was necessary. We were also informed at this time that they'd need 75% of that cost ($15-20,000) up front in order to continue with treatment. We ended up having to drain this money out of our bank accounts and even use a HELOC loan (that we had just been approved for in order to complete several needed projects at our house) in order to pay enough for them to bring Roscoe into surgery. Roscoe thankfully made it out of surgery but still has a long road to recovery ahead. The vet just called for another update and they were now administering plasma, a blood product that would help with the healing of his gut along with assisting to stabilize his blood pressure and blood sugar (this plasma is adding an additional $5,000). Although surgery went as well as it could, It is still "touch and go" for Roscoe at this time and he is currently on IV fluids, antibiotics, and has an NG tube and several drains. Hopefully Roscoe will have a good night and we receive a positive update in the morning.
As an army veteran I'm not proud to have ask for help but the love we have for Roscoe outweighs our pride at this time. Any help you can provide even if just sharing our story, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
