As COVID-19 has taken its toll across the country, the restaurant/food/service industry has been particularly impacted. As a food blogger with many ties to our local food scene I am working to raise funds to help supplement revenues during this unprecedented and uncertain time.
This fundraiser will help place catering orders at local PB county restaurants and food-related businesses to drive business while social distancing is in effect. My goal is to provide food to our nurses, doctors and first responders in the area as well as families in need.
It's a win/win. Drive business to our local business owners and their staff while showing thanks to those assisting during this difficult time and helping those in need.
Nothing is too big or too small from $5 to $5,000. If you have a specific restaurant you would like to support or a certain group you would like to see receive a food order, please place it in the comments and I will do my best to accommodate. This is a fluid situation so the plan will have to be fluid as well.
Please Note: This is not an official relief fund. This is me personally doing my best to support our local food community. There are no guarantees regarding what restaurants/businesses will receive support or what groups will receive food. Please keep any negative comments to yourself. If that is not agreeable, I urge you to proceed on your own and hashtag #SavePBFood or #TooSmallToFail to help spread the movement and cause.
To those willing support, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love our industry and have many friends being affected as dining rooms and businesses close. It means the world to me to have a platform to make any sort of difference during this time.
