Save Ellie: Surgery for a Shattered Paw

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Tiffany, and I’m a college student doing everything I can to get by. I have a sweet Pomeranian Chihuahua mix named Ellie, who has been my constant companion and source of comfort. But on October 20th, 2024, something terrible happened. Ellie got trapped under some thick bush roots, and in trying to free herself, she shattered her paw—both bones are broken, and her muscles are torn.

I’m devastated. Ellie needs surgery to even have a chance at recovery. The damage is too severe for a regular vet to handle, so she needs an orthopedic specialist, and the cost is overwhelming—around $10,000. As a college student, I’m completely helpless in coming up with that kind of money on my own.

Without this surgery, Ellie’s future looks grim. If her bones don’t heal properly, she may lose her foot, and I can’t bear the thought of her in that kind of pain and losing her playful spirit.
