Save Barrabup 3 Forest from Logging
Donation protected
Barrabup 03 Forest is less than 5km and on the main gateway to the well known tourist town of Nannup.
It is the oldest and largest forest this close to town.We are requesting the state government to declare it a National Park. This would ensure the protection of a high - value convservation area which contains significant Aboriginal and Early Pioneering Heritage, rare and threatened fauna and flora. Large portions of this forest is made up of ancient Jarrah and Marri trees. Large areas of dieback free areas make it a forest which is very rare.
The funds are needed for the following:
*Solar lights to light up the forest as a silent protest
*Upcoming events
* Funds would also be used for signs and printing costs.
Funds received so far are greatly appreciated and have been used for the following -
* Return bus trip from the South West to Perth to hand over the petition in September 2017.
* Printing of stickers and pamphlets
* Fuel for volunteers
We are asking for people to donate $10 to light up a tree with solar lights in the Barrabup forest alongside the Vasse Hwy on the way into Nannup.
Any support would be greatly appreciated as the Barrabup 03 Forest is such a rare and unique area which needs to be preserved for future generations.
