Save Ankon: Help a Brave Boy Fight Cancer

A Plea to Save Ankon: Please extend a hand to help a young prince live.
Ankon is a vibrant and spirited 12-year-old boy. His father is a humble service holder, earning just 20,000 taka monthly ($166 monthly). His mother is a homemaker. Financial stability was never a part of their lives, but love was always abundant. Despite their hardships, Ankon’s parents made a heartfelt vow: they would pour every ounce of their limited means into raising and educating their only son. They dreamed he would rise like a prince amidst poverty and become the pride of their lives. But how cruel fate can be. That little prince has been struck by a devastating illness — cancer. Suddenly, a terrifying darkness fell upon their world. Ankon’s parents were left shattered, clinging to one desperate prayer: “Please, save our son.”
First, local specialists were consulted. Then, upon a relative’s suggestion, Ankon was taken to Evercare Hospital, Chattogram, for a series of tests — including biopsy, MRI, and more. The Evercare Hospital biopsy report revealed a heartbreaking diagnosis: Ankon has high-grade Osteosarcoma — a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. A dangerous tumor was detected at the lower end of his femur (thigh bone). Doctors in Bangladesh said his leg would need to be amputated, and even then, there was no guarantee of survival. In search of hope, through the help of relatives, the family managed to take him to CMC Vellore in India, a Christian missionary hospital where many have found life-saving treatment when all seemed lost. The doctors at CMC offered a glimmer of hope. Instead of immediate amputation, they began chemotherapy and are trying to shrink the tumor before considering surgery (Detail attachments 2). Several chemotherapy sessions have already been administered, costing around 2.75 lakh INR so far, including all costs at the hospital. To complete the full course of treatment, including further chemo, surgery, and post-operative care, the estimated cost is an additional 10 lakh INR. Right now, Ankon’s helpless parents are exhausted — emotionally, physically, and financially. Whatever support they had from relatives is nearly gone. Now, they look to you, to kind and compassionate people who have the power to make a difference. Your smallest contribution could bring light back into Ankon’s world. Let us come together and kindle a flame of hope for this little prince’s life.
