Today has been a very rough day: Sasha is at the hospital. She was really lethargic today and just seemed off, so we took her into the vet. She had a fever of 105.8, they did a bunch of tests, got her fever to start going down. Blood work showed pretty normal, but X-rays showed a little bit of fluid in her chest (not in any organs, just in chest cavity), not sure of cause but the vets are leaning towards possibility of a foxtail lodged somewhere in her chest. Fever went down a little but it started to go back up while we were discussing options. We had to leave her at the vet overnight, they're going to monitor her and keep her hydrated, a specialist will be in in the morning and she'll likely end up getting a CT scan to try and figure out what's causing her symptoms. If a foxtail is a cause, she will then need surgery to remove it. To those of you that know Sasha, you all know how incredible a dog she is. She is simply the best boof. And she needs our help! Lionel and I are doing everything we can and will do whatever it takes, currently dipping into the wedding fund to cover some of the costs. She is of course worth every penny, even if it takes everything we have and we end up having a picnic wedding in our backyard.. Any and all help from those who love Sasha is immensely appreciated.
