Sarah Walsh Family Fund

Sarah Walsh, my sister, has devoted her life to her two children, aged 7 and 12, and to public service as a health care provider. She is a cancer survivor three times over. She has worked hard and persevered to overcome a traumatic childhood and poverty, determined to break this cycle for her children. She was in a toxic and abusive relationship with her ex-husband for nearly two decades, and finally made the decision to get out of it for the health and happiness of her children and herself last fall. She has fought for the safety and well-being of her children for months now, through the child custody and child welfare system, even after losing her job, to keep them in a stable, nurturing home with her. She and the rest of our family are out of funds to continue to retain the services of her lawyer in addition to being forced to pay her ex-husband's legal costs.
