Let's help Sara Forgus kick cancer

This campaign is to raise money to assist Sara Forgus through her current battle with cancer.
Sara's fight started approximately two years ago when she was stricken with a very serious and aggressive strain of breast cancer. Through major surgery, chemo and radiation treatments, Sara had fought the cancer into remission and went cancer free for over a year. But on March 8, 2016, Sara's health took a turn for the worse and her doctors confirmed that the cancer had returned, and this time in full force. The cancer that they thought was gone has now rapidly spread into her lungs and into her bones. The cancer is so far advanced that surgery is not an option and chemo may only slow the spread, not eliminate it. It is with deep sadness to say that Sara's prognosis does not look good.
For those of us lucky enough to know Sara, know that she is the most loving, kind-hearted person you will ever meet. Her love and compassion for life and all living things is beyond inspiring. You also know that she is a true fighter and she has vowed not to let this take her down.
Sara's lifelong wish is to one day take a trip to Spain. And wouldn't it be great if we could raise enough money for her to live out her dream! Although traveling while fighting cancer can be a challenging endeavor, we believe we can make it work. Her family and friends have offered to prearrange medical care while she's in Spain so she can easily receive any needed treatments. And, since Kaiser's coverage does not reach that far, she will most likely have to pay for any medical expenses out of pocket. The money raised in this campaign will go directly to Sara to cover her travel expenses, lodging, food, fun and any needed medical treatments.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have helped support Sara and her family through your love, thoughts and prayers. And a special thank you to all who are able to contribute to this campaign for such a wonderul person!
