Sanguê - empoderamento de mulheres São Tomenses

O que é o Sanguê?

O Sanguê é um projeto de voluntariado criado por quatro jovens portuguesas universitárias juntamente com a WACT que visa o empoderamento das adolescentes São Tomenses entre os 14 e os 18 anos, através da implementação de workshops e atividades dinâmicas que visam o desenvolvimento de competências pessoais, cognitivas e interpessoais, e que contam com a participação de organizações locais especializadas. Pretendemos atuar em diversas vertentes, como a autoestima, as capacidades comunicacionais, o pensamento crítico, direitos da mulher, a educação reprodutiva e a autonomia e literacia financeira, adotando uma abordagem holística a cada formanda.

What is Sanguê?

Sanguê is a volunteer project developed by 4 portuguese college students together with WACT and aims to empower teenage girls from São Tomé and Principe aged between 14 and 18, through the implementation of workshops and dynamic activities aiming the development os personal, cognitive and interpersonal skills and it will be joined by local specialized organizations. We intend to take action in many fields such as self esteem, communication skills, critical thinking, women rights, sexual education, self-suffieciency and financial literacy. All of this will be done through an holistic approach and customized to each girl.

O que é que nos distingue?

O Sanguê não é apenas um projeto informativo com prazo definido. Pretende ser a ponte entre estas jovens e um futuro com mais possibilidades, através do estabelecimento de mentorias com jovens universitárias, mulheres são Tomenses de sucesso e organizações, adaptadas aos interesses e necessidades de cada formanda, o que irá garantir o sucesso sustentável do Sanguê e das suas formandas a longo prazo.

What makes us different?

Sanguê isn't just an informative project with a timeframe. It intends to be the bridge between these girls and a future with more opportunities, through the establishment of mentorships with college girls, women of success and organizations from São Tomé and it'll be suited to the needs and interests of Sanguê's girls which will guarantee the Sanguê's sustainable success and of course of its girls in the long term.

Qual a finalidade dos fundos angariados?

Os fundos serão usados para comprar material necessário para as atividades a realizar com as formandas, tais como papéis e materiais de escrita, lanches para as formandas para os intervalos durante as atividades, transporte para as formandas quando a deslocação for necessária nas atividades, e para aluguer de espaços onde se vão realizar as atividades em São Tomé.

What is the purpose of the funds raised?

The donations will be used to buy the necessary working material in order to realize the activities with the girls (notebooks, pens, snacks for the breaks during the workshops, transportation for the girls when trips are needed in activities and for the rent of a space in São Tomé where we can develop the activities).

Quando vão ser usados?

Estes fundos irão começar a ser usados dia 11 de julho de 2021, aquando da ida para terreno em São Tomé e início da versão piloto do Sanguê.

When will the funds be used?

These funds will start to be used on july 11th of 2021 (day we leave for São Tomé).
