My name is Sanah

I’m 26 I have a Muscle Wasting condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy

The reason why I made this GoFundMe page so I can raise money to get a new wheelchair

Why do I need a new wheelchair?

Current wheelchair that I have

From the NHS it’s static height and I’m stuck in one position when I’m in that wheelchair

In order for me to get in and out the wheelchair I need two people to lift me

New wheelchair I desire - Permobil f5

Has low to high function so whatever surface I want to transfer I can do independently without having two people lift me which will make me feel more EMPOWERED

The new chair will enable me to change position throughout the day… stretch my legs, lean backwards ect so overall the chair will give me a better quality of life

Once I have this wheelchair I can look into living independently in my own place because I'll be able to transfer independently making me feel EMPOWERED
