Samantha fight Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Siobhan and I’m here to ask for help for my dear friend Samantha. Let me tell you a little bit about her.
Sam is one of those treasured friends who is always the first to offer help to anyone who needs it, any time, any place. She’s a protector of all living creatures and the most generous soul you could hope to meet.
A few years ago she and her partner decided to take a chance and fulfil a dream. They moved to the country for a better life and began the hard work of turning it into a small farm. Timing is everything and theirs was not the best. They soon had to weather the NSW bushfires and the devastation that caused to their newly fenced property, their feed stores and their entire water supply. Coming back took grit but as they began to make headway, nature decided some flooding was a good idea.
They finally got back to where they’d started through hard work, determination and sheer bloody mindedness. And a few jobs on the side to keep the bills paid.
They were recently able to reduce their workload off site and commit the majority of their time to the farm, but sadly their challenges are not over.
Sam has just been diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma and now faces her toughest battle yet. Chemotherapy will weaken her immune system to the point she’ll be unable to work on the farm. Her partner will have to shoulder the majority of the workload and reduce their income to make that happen.
The last thing they should be worrying about right now is how to pay their rent, feed their animals, and pay the extra bills which will inevitably come with all the travel to and from Lismore hospital for treatments. The prognosis is good and we are hoping for her to be in remission in the next 6 months, however, it won’t be easy financially or mentally.
So I am asking for any small amount you can donate to my dear friend at this frightening time. If you know Sam, chances are she’s been there to help you out. But you also know she’ll never ask for help herself. I am doing that for her. Please give what you can so she may worry less for her animals and future and put all of her energy into fighting this hideous disease.
Thank you all so much.
Everything raised will go straight towards paying Sam’s bills and expenses and helping her get through the next 6 months.
